Monash Sport are delighted to announce their continued affiliation with the wonderful people at Ronald McDonald House, Monash Chapter.

Ronald McDonald House Charities give families a place where they can rest and refresh themselves while coping with their ill children. A child with illness can have both an emotional and financial toll on a family, due to rising operation bills and the child's condition. Ronald McDonald House Charities looks to address those problems, such as housing near a hospitalised child, the expense of staying together in another city, or getting basic dental and medical care.

Ronald McDonald House Charities are determined to provide the best quality resources they can to those in need, very similar to Monash University's mission regarding education.

Spanning over 60 countries, Ronald McDonald House Charities has 347 Ronald McDonald Houses, 195 Family Rooms, and 50 Care Mobiles. The Monash Chapter of the charity is close to the Monash community, and hence the Chapter selected to be supported by the Monash Games.

Every team competing in the Monash Games will be allocated a fundraising page for the Ronald McDonald House Monash Chapter, and donation tins will also be available during the Games. Once allocated, donations for teams can be put through at https://www.everydayhero.com/au/.

The Monash Games will be running the 22-24 July, with student competitions the first two days and staff competitions the final day. For more information and registration details, visit http://monash.edu/sport/events/monash-games.html.
