With the AFL season coming to a close and the Grand Final just around the corner, it's time to get your team colours out (possibly for the last time this year) and celebrate Footy Colours Day with us! Footy Colours Day is a celebration of all things footy and will help raise much needed money for the Fight Cancer Foundation which helps children fight cancer. We encourage everyone to dress up in your favourite footy colours no matter what code of football you follow. AFL, soccer, rugby, we want to see them all!
Monash University's Peninsula campus will see the event held on Tuesday 20 September 3-6pm. The day will be held around the Hockey Centre and will see a multitude of activities, including longest kick, penalty shootout competitions, vertical jump, handball target and even a bungy run! Perfect to have a friendly contest between friends with bragging rights on the line.
If you get tired of all the sporting activities there will be free face painting (footy colour theme of course) and a BBQ provided by MONSU, all while a live music from our very own student band plays.
Afterwards, make sure you head on down to the Hockey Centre at 6:30pm for the annual MONSU Soccer Cup that will see Peninsula vs. Caulfield in a highly anticipated match.
So get your friends together, wear your team colours and celebrate all things football for a good cause!
